I was a sophomore in high school when I first heard her sing. I didn't know who she was, had never heard of her or the group she sang with, at that time the Manhattan Brothers from Johannesburg, South Africa. Her voice was high and pretty and did not particularly impress me except to complement a song that impressed me greatly, called 'Lovely Lies'. Fifty years later I discovered that this lady I have so admired over the years was indeed that voice and, now that I have acquired it, to me the song still sounds as pretty. Circles do indeed complete.
