Frederick Douglass (II)
Frederick Douglass was and is a hero of mine. He rose to great stature, taken there by the tides of his times and kept there by the sheer force of his will and charisma; his staying power proving that early successes were portentous of his future greatness; his inner dignity his greatest ally and truest guide.
